Saint Philip’s Ministry Support

Maxine started serving with Saint Philip’s in October. Her service at Saint Philip’s is helping to take us more deeply into the rhythm of daily prayer, hospitality, and ministry that makes a Church run day by day. Greet her at the front desk, working with the Music Librarians, preparing and tidying up for daily Eucharist, welcoming visitors and parishioners alike around campus, and facilitating Mosaic Community Night’s preparations. As the Church season changes she will be active in various ways, and we give thanks for her prayerful and efficient presence among us, strengthening the ministry that we can do here and beyond. A key facet of the work of Episcopal Service Corps is Vocational Discernment, and Maxine is one of several Corps Members who are in the early stages of formal discernment of work in the Church in various ways. She will be visiting a retreat center in November to further this process, and her volunteering among us here is part of that discernment of ministry in the Church long-term. Please welcome her!
