Loved Bikes for the Beloveds?

Salutations! Our Beloved in the Desert Episcopal Service Corps members are approaching 2 months of living in community, serving, and praying here in Tucson. They’ve been at their placement sites since 8/2/2021, serving 32 hours/week at The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, Interfaith Community Services, Habitat for Humanity, and the Boys & Girls Club of Tucson (16 hours) and the Episcopal Campus Ministry (16 hours).

We are deeply grateful for your continued prayers for their success, growth, and joy as they continue serving this community we call home.

As the weather grows cooler, the Beloveds find themselves in need of 2 bikes to help navigate around Tucson for practical reasons (they only have one car amongst the four of them!) and for recreation (The Loop is truly a marvelous feature of Tucson!).

Maybe you have a bike that doesn’t get much use? Is it just collecting dust and in the way? If so, perhaps you, most wonderful person in the congregation, may consider donating said dusty bike to the Beloved house? (Should there be a bike lock or bike helmet as well, that too would be greatly treasured and appreciated!) 😊

If you’re interested or would like more information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me, Your bike would be loved, treasured, and get some good mileage should you so choose to gift it to the Beloved house!

With immense gratitude!
