Sunday forum
HIV/AIDS is very much at the intersection of health care and issues of racial inequality.
For example, do you know that:
Arizona ranks 15th among 50 states in the number of people living with HIV?
The number of Black women in Arizona living with HIV is 11.3 times higher than white women?
That 47% of new HIV infections in Pima County occur in people of color?
At 10:30am this Sunday, October 8, in the Murphey Gallery learn about TIHAN (Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network): a local non-profit that brings together religious, secular, corporate, and non-profit organizations to create an inclusive support network for people living with HIV. Saint Philip’s has worked with TIHAN on a regular basis for decades.
Scott Blades, Executive Director of TIHAN (Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network), will provide a presentation and answer questions.
