Sunday forum

HIV/AIDS is very much at the intersection of health care and issues of racial inequality.

For example, do you know that:

  • Arizona ranks 15th among 50 states in the number of people living with HIV?

  • The number of Black women in Arizona living with HIV is 11.3 times higher than white women?

  • That 47% of new HIV infections in Pima County occur in people of color?

At 10:30am this Sunday, October 8, in the Murphey Gallery learn about TIHAN (Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network): a local non-profit that brings together religious, secular, corporate, and non-profit organizations to create an inclusive support network for people living with HIV. Saint Philip’s has worked with TIHAN on a regular basis for decades.

Scott Blades, Executive Director of TIHAN (Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network), will provide a presentation and answer questions.
