Make a difference

Casa Alitas is a humanitarian aid project of Catholic Community Services that is committed to providing assistance to asylum-seekers released from ICE and Border Patrol detention into the Tucson community. Volunteers offer support by providing hospitality which includes housing, food, clothing, toiletries, advocacy, and travel assistance.

The number of migrants anticipated in the next few weeks is expected to rise sharply. For context, last month nearly 9,000 people were received. Casa Alitas has asked Saint Philip’s—and other churches in Tuscon—for help.
