First Sunday Drives
The month of July
Please remember Saint Philip’s food pantry when you come to church on Sunday, July 9. (Food drives are usually on the first Sunday of every month but because of the Independence day holiday weekend July’s drive will occur on the second Sunday.) You can leave your donations on the long bench next to the church’s side entrance.
The Food Pantry needs the following items especially:
* bottled water and juice
* beans
* canned vegetables
* canned and fresh fruit
* meats
* pastas
* rice
* toiletry items—especially body wash
Checks are also welcome donations. Make your donation payable to Saint Philip’s in the Hills Church and write “food panty” in the memo section.
And remember—First Sundays aren't the only days you can contribute. The food pantry operates out of the church office 9:00am-12:00pm every Tuesday and Thursday, and the volunteers will be happy to accept your donations then, too.
The month of August
August’s First Sunday Drive on August 6 will be a back-to-school drive to benefit Prince Elementary and Rio Vista schools. Donations of backpacks and school supplies (spiral notebooks, crayons, colored markers, pencils, pens, etc.) will be welcome.
