Nominations

As the October Diocesan Convention approaches, there is still in need for additional nominations of both clergy and lay candidates for Standing Committee and the Disciplinary Board.

Members elected to Standing Committee serve a three-year term and meet 6-8 times per year. The Standing Committee makes decisions for the diocese in between Conventions in consultation with the Bishop and works with the Bishop to oversee the life and ministry of the Diocese.

Members of the Disciplinary Board serve a three-year term. With the exception of the President of the Disciplinary Board, they are called upon only if a Title IV disciplinary process for a clergyperson requires a Conference or Hearing Panel. Candidates should be wise and faithful, familiar with Title IV, (or willing to become familiar with it), and able to maintain confidentiality.

Details of the nomination process, and the forms required, are available on the Diocesan Convention webpage.
