Thank You For Beloved Bikes!

Beloved in the Desert is part of the Episcopal Service Corps with the mission of forming an intentional community for young adults that fosters beloved Christian disciples through service, study, and prayer in the Tucson borderlands. For more information click here.

A few weeks ago, we put out a call for a few bikes to be donated to our Beloved in the Desert Episcopal Service Corps members. These folks serve at non-profits and faith-based organizations throughout Tucson for 32 hours per week, engage in the life of the church and Episcopal Campus Ministry, and in social justice education and action throughout the community, all while living simply and in community with one another.

Well, some very generous folks in the Saint Philip’s community answered our call! A huge, bountiful, manifold THANK YOU to Ronnie Moore and Sally Taylor for donating some bikes to the Beloved in the Desert community! Now there are enough bikes for all of them to travel to work (should they desire), to explore Tucson, go on group bike rides, and more. Already several of the members have been riding regularly as the weather continues to become ever more beautiful.

These bikes will continue to serve the Beloved in the Desert community for years to come! A huge, huge thank you for the kindness and generosity of Ronnie and Sally on behalf of all the BITD members and the Board. 😊

With great gratitude,

Alex Swain
