“Let them Come.” As members of the family of God, children occupy an important place in the life of St. Philip’s Parish. Our Children’s Center offers many Christian education and music programs as well as a fully staffed nursery. We provide settings in which the children can explore and discover their spirituality; where they will learn, play, worship and enjoy one another as part of the larger St. Philip’s community.
Church School classes meet in the Children’s Center at 10:15 a.m. each Sunday during the school year for ages 3 through 6th grade. For more information about our Church School curriculum, click here.
“Worship With Us” Children’s Worship
On the first and fourth Sundays of each month during the school year, we offer a casual children’s worship at 9 a.m. for children age 3 to 3rd grade. Children have the opportunity to participate in music, movement, and stories as they explore the Bible and talk about its relevance in their lives. Each gathering begins with “setting” the worship table with the colors and symbols of the liturgical season. Parents are always welcome.
Comfy Space Service
On the second Sunday of each month, year-round, children and families participate in a very special worship service at 9:15. Comfy Space is a delightful worship experience for those who wiggle in church and those who worship with them. Sermon activities, prayer, Gospel readings, and songs are designed to hold the interest of children while allowing family and friends to experience the presence of God in a relaxed setting.
St. Philip’s offers nursery & childcare service every Sunday from 8:30 until 12:30. Toddlers and infants are provided a separate space with age appropriate activities and a highly trained, professional staff.
